NationsX 1.0.0 · Paper 1.21.8 to 1.21.10
The Lands commands, on NationsX
Claiming, trust, areas, rentals, nations, wars and the full staff toolset. Everything below is generated from the plugin's own command list, so the syntax and permission nodes are the ones the server accepts.
Overview
Everything a Lands server is used to typing, running on the NationsX territory engine. The old /nation command still works exactly as before. The names end in X so they never collide with the Lands plugin.
| Command | Used for |
|---|---|
/landsx, /lx | Your land: claims, members, areas, rentals, travel, bank, camps, wars and every staff tool. |
/nationsx, /lxn | Groups of lands: founding, capital, chat, diplomacy and nation wars. |
/lxclaim /lxunclaim /lxview /lxtrust /lxuntrust /lxassign | Short forms of the commands you use most. |
/nation, /n, /nations, /nx | The original NationsX command. Unchanged. |
Land and nation are the other way round from what you might expect. A land here is a NationsX nation: it owns chunks, has members, a bank and a spawn. A nation is a group of lands. If you only ever used the old command, nothing about your nation changed.
How to read this page#
<value>is required,[value]is optional, and a value ending in dots takes the rest of the line.- Click a command to copy it. Click a permission to copy the node.
- Press Ctrl K or / to search every command, description and permission.
- Players only means the console cannot run it. Console too means it can.
Quick start
From nothing to a protected, shared, teleport-ready home in six commands.
- Found your land and claim the first chunkStand where you want to build. This creates a land named after you; if founding costs money you are asked to run it again to confirm.
- Grow itClaim a square around you. Several chunks show the price first; run the same command again to pay.
- Let a friend buildTrust a player for a week. Leave the time off for permanent.
- Mark out a shop and rent itStand in two corners, then name the area. Offer it for a price and a number of days.
- Set a home pointAnyone with the right can then travel to it.
- Check your bordersParticles trace your chunk edges until you turn them off.
Concepts
A handful of ideas explain every command on this page.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Land | A NationsX nation. Owns chunks, members, a bank, a spawn and areas. |
| Nation | A group of lands under one capital land. Stored by the Lands layer in lands.yml. |
| Edit land | The land your commands act on. It is your own land unless you switched with /landsx edit. Staff with lands.admin.command.edit can edit any land. |
| Member and role | Members hold a NationsX rank (leader, officer, citizen, resident by default). A rank decides what the member may do in the land. |
| Trusted player | A non-member who can build, open containers and interact in the whole land, or in one area. Can expire. |
| Visitor | Everyone else. Visitors can only do what the land's flags and the global protection settings allow. |
| Flags | Natural flags (explosions, fire_spread, pvp, mob_griefing) override the global protection setting for one land. Role flags (build, container, interact) can grant a role more than its rank gives. They never take rights away. |
<target> | A land name or tag, or a nation name. Where the syntax says <land-or-all>, * means every land. |
| Confirmation | Costly or destructive commands print what will happen and wait. Run the same command again within the confirm timeout (30 seconds by default). |

War
Declaring, capture flags, KoTH and shields. The same commands exist under /landsx war for a single land and /nationsx war for a whole nation.
How a war plays out. Declaring puts the two sides at war through the normal NationsX diplomacy rules, so chunks can then be captured with sieges or with a capture flag item. If the defender set a KoTH point with war koth set, or an admin made an arena with a control point, a King of the Hill match starts: stand on the point with no enemy near it for 120 seconds and your side wins and the war ends. war spawn sends you to your team's arena spawn during a match, otherwise to your land spawn.

Permissions
Every command lists its node. These are the groups they fall into.
| Node | Default | Covers |
|---|---|---|
lands.command.* | Everyone | Every /landsx player command. |
nations.command.* | Everyone | Every /nationsx command. |
lands.admin.command.* | Operators | Every /landsx admin command. |
lands.admin.command.edit | Operators | Not a command. Lets staff manage any land or nation with the normal player commands after /landsx edit. |
lands.teleport.chunk | Everyone | Teleporting to a claimed chunk from the chunk list. |

lands.teleport.sub_area | Everyone | Area spawns. |
lands.teleport.unstuck | Everyone | /landsx unstuck. |
lands.teleport.rentable | Everyone | Registered for permission plugins. No command uses it yet. |
Player nodes default to everyone and staff nodes to operators. Set a node to false in your permission plugin to take a command away. The NationsX bypass nodes (nationsx.bypass.build, nationsx.bypass.border) still apply to trust, bans and camps.

Limit packs#
A pack gives bonus chunks to every member who holds its permission. Each member counts their best pack, and the land's limit is still capped by claims.hard-cap.
packs:
vip:
permission: nationsx.limit.vip
chunks: 10
elite:
permission: nationsx.limit.elite
chunks: 25
Files#
| File | Holds |
|---|---|

plugins/NationsX/player-limits.yml | Limit packs. |
plugins/NationsX/backups/ | Database backups written by /landsx admin database backup. |
Differences from Lands
NationsX is not the Lands plugin, so a few things work differently. This list is complete.
- Selections have no wand. Use
/landsx selection pos1andpos2. - Imports.
/landsx admin importreads the NationsX JSON file format. It does not read other claim plugins. - Backups. Backup and restore need the embedded H2 database, and a restore needs a restart. On MySQL or MariaDB use your database's own dump tool. Migrate copies the data into an empty database of another type.
- Admin menu.
/landsx admin menulists the staff commands in chat instead of opening a chest menu. - Role flags can only grant rights, not remove them.
- Rentals. Ending a tenancy early gives no refund.
- Limit packs add bonus chunks by counting as extra members, so the exact limit moves in steps of the per-member limit.
- Rentable teleports. The
lands.teleport.rentablenode exists but no command uses it yet.
Added beyond the Lands list: selection pos1, pos2 and clear, claim tp, camp trust, camp untrust, camp remove, area rental offer, area rental rent and nations help.
